Views From the Bank Luncheon Series
While the World Bank officially adopted an anti-corruption and governance strategy in March 2007, Bank staff have been on the front lines of transparency and accountability work in developing countries for decades as they interact directly with borrowing countries on procurement and financial transactions and advise on governance and institutional development.
Beginning in October 2007, the Transparency and Accountability Project within Brookings Global hosted a series focused on major fiduciary issues in each of the Bank’s regions. The series will examine the major issues, successful reforms and challenges facing governments from the perspective of World Bank staff who have worked closely with developing country leaders, and will explore new strategies and solutions.
