Cuban American Opinions Concerning U.S. Policy Toward Cuba and Recent U.S. Election (December 2, 2008)
On December 2, The Brookings Institution released the results of a new poll on Cuban American opinion conducted by Florida International University in collaboration with the Brookings Institution and the Cuba Study Group.

Cuba 2008: Opportunities and Challenges (February 6, 2008)
On February 6, the Brookings Institution hosted a conference to provide the insights critical to confronting the challenges and seizing opportunities as a new Cuba emerges. A distinguished panel of experts on Cuba and Latin American discussed whether Cuba’s leaders will be up to the challenge of managing the succession and beyond.

Cuba: Lessons from the Past (November 14, 2007)
On November 14, the Brookings Institution hosted five former Chiefs of Mission of the United States Interests Section in Havana for a discussion on the U.S.-Cuba relationship. They provided their insights into the personalities and styles of Cuba’s past and present leadership and their relationships with Cuba’s opposition.

Cuba’s Transition after Castro: Cuban-American Views – How Best to Advance Change in Cuba? (April 2, 2007)
On April 2, 2007, the Brookings Institution in partnership with the Cuba Study Group hosted a Focus on Cuba event featuring the release of the results of a new Cuba Research Institute, Florida International University poll of Cuban-Americans.
