Savings and Insurance

Housing policy has played a central role in recent decades in helping more Americans move up the economic ladder. Improving the cost effectiveness of rental housing subsidies can help these programs serve more low-income Americans. In addition, policymakers can improve prospects for homeownership and reduce housing-related crises by encouraging mortgage options that are more transparent and better serve consumer interests.
