Issue: Health Care

Savings and Insurance

Apart from income shocks, the greatest financial threat to American families is the cost of health care and the risk that they will be bankrupted by catastrophic health events. The Hamilton Project will develop two series of proposals for delivering higher quality health care with less financial risk for families. A first series of proposals focuses on improving the affordability and effectiveness of health care in the United States. A second series presents a range of policy proposals for achieving the goal of universal health care coverage for all Americans.
