The issues of climate change and energy security are major challenges facing the United States and the world. To tackle these related problems, the United States should put a price on carbon emissions and oil while reorganizing and refocusing federal funding for energy research and development. Taking the lead on climate policy, the United States should engage major emitting nations in an international response to this truly global problem.
