Kansas

Kansas has two of the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas—Kansas City and Wichita—which alone account for 51 percent of the state’s population, 53 percent of the state’s jobs, and 60 percent of the state’s gross domestic product (GDP). All five of Kansas’s metros constitute 63 percent of the state’s population, 66 percent of the state’s jobs, and 71 percent of the state’s GDP.
