Arkansas

Arkansas has two of the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas—Little Rock and Memphis—which alone account for 25 percent of the state’s population, 29 percent of the state’s jobs, and 32 percent of the state’s gross domestic product (GDP). All eight of Arkansas’s metros constitute 59 percent of the state’s population, 66 percent of the state’s jobs, and 69 percent of the state’s GDP.
