The B-58 Hustler was operational from 1960 to 1970. One hundred and four aircraft were built at a total cost of $19.4 billion (in constant 1996 dollars). The B-58 had a maximum speed of 1,385 miles per hour (2,228 kilometers per hour), making it the first supersonic bomber.
