In January 2009, Douglas Elmendorf was appointed director of the Congressional Budget Office. He was a Brookings senior fellow from 2007 to 2009, and was a director of the Hamilton Project at Brookings.
Lawrence H. Summers
Lawrence H. Summers is director of the White House's National Economic Council as well as the Charles W. Eliot University Professor at Harvard University. He served as president of Harvard from 2001 to 2006 and was secretary of the U. S. Treasury from 1999 to 2001. He is also a former chief economist with the World Bank.
N. Gregory Mankiw
N. Gregory Mankiw is the Robert M. Beren Professor of Economics at Harvard University. From 2003 to 2005, he served as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, and his textbook Principles of Economics has sold over a million copies. Mankiw also writes an influential economics blog.
