Emilia Istrate
Senior Research Analyst, Metropolitan Policy Program
Emilia Istrate is a senior research analyst with the Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative. She works on domestic and international infrastructure financing, transportation and energy, within the field of metropolitan economic development. Prior to joining Brookings, Ms. Istrate conducted research on regional economic development at the School of Public Policy, George Mason University. She also worked on a United Nations Economic Commission for Europe project on promoting energy efficiency in transition countries. Istrate is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy, with specializations in Regional Economic Development and Transportation, at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
