About Global Economy and Development

Global Economy and Development examines the opportunities and challenges presented by globalization, which has become a central concern for policymakers, business executives and civil society, and offers innovative recommendations and solutions in order to materially shape the policy debate.

Global scholars address the issues surrounding globalization within three key areas:

  • The drivers shaping the new economy
  • The road out of poverty
  • The rise of new economic powers

The program is directed by Kemal Derviş, vice president and Edward M. Bernstein Scholar.
