Richard Williamson is a nonresident senior fellow in Foreign Policy at Brookings. His work focuses on human rights, multilateral diplomacy, nuclear nonproliferation and post-conflict reconstruction. Williamson has held numerous governmental and diplomatic positions, including serving as the president's special envoy to Sudan from 2007 to 2009. He is also a senior fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
