Ibrahim Sharqieh is a fellow in the Center for Middle East Policy at Brookings, deputy director of the Brookings Doha Center and adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar. He previously taught international conflict resolution at George Washington University’s Elliott School for International Affairs, George Mason University and Catholic University of America. His research focuses on conflict resolution, mediation and post-conflict reconstruction processes in the Arab world, with a particular emphasis on transitions, national reconciliation, national dialogue, refugee repatriation, institutional reform and reintegration of armed groups. | View Full Bio
