Nonresident Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy, Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies
David Shambaugh is a nonresident senior fellow in the Foreign Policy Program and the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies (CNAPS). He is an internationally recognized authority on China's domestic politics, foreign policy, military and security, and the international relations of Asia. He also is professor and director of the China Policy Program at George Washington University, the former editor of The China Quarterly, a frequent commentator in the international media, a consultant to the U.S. government and private foundations, and the author of numerous books, chapters and articles on different aspects of China and Asian affairs.
