Surya Sethi has served as one of India's important policymakers with responsibility for power, energy and climate change. He was the Government of India's principal adviser for power and energy, and core climate negotiator based at planning commission (2001-2009). Sethi served on the Prime Minister's Energy Coordination Committee and wrote the Integrated Energy Policy of India (2006). He represented India at the UNFCCC, IPCC and other climate forums.
