Nonresident Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy, Center on the United States and Europe
Ambassador Mark Parris is a nonresident senior fellow in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution. A former ambassador to Turkey, Mark Parris served as a career foreign service officer including posts in the Soviet Union, Israel and Portugal. He also was a policy advisor for the U.S. State Department and National Security Council. Parris directed the "Turkey 2007" project at Brookings, which encouraged a focused, informed discussion on developments in and around Turkey during its presidential and general elections. | View Full Bio
