Fellow, Governance Studies

Elisabeth Jacobs is a fellow in Governance Studies. Her research focuses on domestic social policy, with a particular focus on the government’s role in fostering a balance of economic security and opportunity for American families. Her current project is a study of long-term unemployment, utilizing cross-national comparisons in order to inform and explain American policymakers’ efforts at tackling the problem of long-term joblessness in the wake of the Great Recession.
