A former chief counsel of the Senate Judiciary Committee and a counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Gitenstein is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Mayer Brown LLP. Mark currently focuses on national security and civil liberty issues.  Mr. Gitenstein is currently on a leave of absence from Brookings.
