A former high commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom , Akbar Ahmed is currently chair of Islamic Studies at American University and the U.S. Naval Academy. He is an expert on global Islam, Pakistan and U.S. relations with the Islamic world. He recently produced a documentary on Muslims in America.
