Mr. Dai is one of China’s most prominent government officials overseeing the PRC’s foreign policy. He was in Washington for the sixth Strategic Dialogue between China and the United States. In a speech that provided insightful overview of U.S.-China relations over the past three decades, State Councilor Dai also called for strengthened cooperation between the two countries in a time of difficult global challenges. State Councilor Dai emphatically delivered the message that the U.S. and China should see each other as partners rather than rivals.
