Reforming China’s Healthcare System Roundtable Series

China's Healthcare System: Relationship Between Markets and the Role of International Organizations

China, Health Care, China's Economy

Event Summary

Faced with the challenge of managing the medical needs of a population of 1.3 billion people—or 20% of humanity—the Chinese government has commissioned several study groups to design proposals to restructure China’s healthcare system. In order to contribute to this important debate, the Brooking-Tsinghua Center has convened “Reforming China’s Healthcare System,” a series of roundtable discussions among leading experts and officials aimed at providing Chinese policymakers with in-depth analysis and forward-looking recommendations as they decide on the road ahead.
