Nicole Prchal Svajlenka focuses on social issues and demographics in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area with a strong interest in demographic change and immigration matters. In addition, Ms. Svajlenka researches and analyzes regional issues of economic redevelopment, sustainable growth, and public health policy. Prior to joining the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings, Ms. Svajlenka completed her M.A. in Geography at the George Washington University. She also holds a B.A. in Environmental Geography from Colgate University.
