Neil G. Ruiz
Senior Policy Analyst and Associate Fellow, Metropolitan Policy Program
Originally from Oxnard, California, Neil G. Ruiz is a senior policy analyst and associate fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program. His work focuses on regional and state economic development, innovation, migration, as well as global economic issues. Prior to joining Brookings, he was a migration specialist and program manager at the Development Economics Prospects Group at The World Bank, a consultant for the Asian Development Bank, and a summer research associate at the Migration Policy Institute (MPI). Ruiz received his B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and a M.Sc. in economic history from Oxford University. He will be receiving his Ph.D. in political economy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012.
