Kenan Fikri is a senior research assistant with the Metropolitan Policy Program. His work focuses on local and regional economic development policy and practice, with particular emphasis on innovation and competitiveness. His primary interests include economic geography, industrial organization, international trade, and economic policy, and the changing nature of place in the context of globalization. Fikri holds a M.Sc. in local economic development from the London School of Economics and B.A. in international relations and economics from American University.
