Purchasing Ebooks from the Brookings Institution Press

The Brookings Institution Press offers many of its books for sale in electronic form. If there is an ebook order button, the ebook can be purchased directly from our website in either PDF or EPUB format. Our ebooks are also available through the distributors listed below.

When purchasing an ebook directly through our website, you will receive a confirmation email and a link to download the book. You will be able to download the ebook to your computer or electronic reading device. Since we apply digital rights management (DRM) to all our titles, we recommend that you download Adobe Digital Editions software. This software is free and available for PCs, Macs, and many electronic reading devices. Once you create an Adobe ID, you can register up to six devices to backup, copy, or transfer digital content.

Amazon Kindle devices are locked to proprietary stores. If you plan to read our ebooks on a Kindle, you should purchase the title directly from Amazon.

All purchases through our website are nonrefundable and nonreturnable. For customer service and support please contact hfscustserv@press.jhu.edu or 1-800-537-5487.
