Communications Internship


The communications team in the in Foreign Policy Program at Brookings is seeking an Intern to assist with media relations, event management, and other communication tasks. Daily tasks will include monitoring press mentions of Brookings experts, maintaining reporter databases, assisting with social media management and website production, managing events, and editing various communication materials.

The internship is based in Washington, DC, and will last from September to December. Please note that all internships are unpaid and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Applicant must be fluent in English, in speaking and writing.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have a demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: journalism, public affairs, diplomacy, international affairs, media relations, and digital media. Graduate students, recent graduates, or undergraduate students – especially juniors and seniors, working towards a degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, international media, journalism, and public affairs) are encouraged to apply.
