Digital Content Internship
Office of Communications
The Office of Communications offers several internships throughout the year to individuals with experience in mass communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. These internships offer the challenge of assisting in the day-to-day activities of a busy communications office.
The Office of Communications is seeking an intern for the fall to assist in the production of certain digital products, including a blog (Brookings Now), a podcast (Brookings Cafeteria) and others. Among other activities, the intern will draft summaries of Brookings events, draft blog posts about Brookings research, and compile research on topics and issues as needed. Please note that this internship is unpaid. Hours are negotiable.
In addition to providing support to the Communications team directly, interns will have the opportunity to attend internal presentations, professional development workshops, and public Brookings events as well as participate on Brookings sports teams and network with other interns throughout the Institution.
Undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent college graduates majoring in journalism, political science, economics, international affairs or similar fields are encouraged to apply. Excellent writing and research skills are required. Interest in or experience with web content management systems a plus, but is not required.
