The Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings
Institution is currently accepting applications for an Undergraduate
Research Intern for fall 2013. This is a full-time, resident position
that will last for the duration of the fall semester, although exact
starting and ending dates are flexible. Please note that all Brookings
internships are unpaid.
Interns will assist scholars in ongoing research projects,
with substantial opportunities for independent research. Projects for
the fall could include, but are not limited to:
-Cyber security and information security
-Digital identity infrastructure
-Privacy
-Health IT and spectrum use
Duties will include:
-Summarizing technical research and specifications
-Studying technical standards
-Attending other Washington DC events and supporting Brookings Fellows
-There may be a very small amount of administrative work as well
Undergraduate students (typically upperclassmen) or recent
graduates with a technical background in computer science, information
science or other IT-related engineering fields and an interest in
public policy are encouraged to apply. The position requires excellent
verbal and written communication, time-management and organizational
skills, and the ability to synthesize technical details from multiple
sources.

basis beginning then. Only those candidates selected for a phone
interview will be contacted. Those candidates will be asked to provide
